The Livingston County News published a great story about Cynthia Appleton this morning. Called “Appleton offers hope to Democrats in District 59,” the article says, in part:

In a village where the ratio of registered Republican voters outnumbers Democratic voters three-to-one, Cynthia had garnered two-to-one election victories.

“At the local level we work across the aisle in a two party board. We work very well together and get the business done,” Cynthia asserts.

…Cynthia has enumerated her platform in several conceptual points.

The first, a property tax cap, is admittedly not what you’d expect to be number one in a Democrat’s repertoire.
